Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes referee Davide Massa was overreacting after he gave Ederson two consecutive yellow cards.

Atalanta were one goal behind Inter and in the final 10 minutes Ederson was book for arguing with the referee in the 81st minute and then applaude the referee for a second yellow card, ending Gasperini’s team’s chances of equalising.

“The red card ruined the game, which is a คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย shame not only for my team, but also for the opposing team and the fans watching. There was no need to go to that point.”

“Not necessarily. The game is still open. There are about 20 minutes left that could be exciting.”

“The referee went too far for Ederson because there were other yellow cards before that, like Bellanova, and Ederson was also wrong to applaud and jeer, but really it was the referee who ruined the game,” Gasperini said.

“There are far worse incidents or words than an applause, some referees ignore it and pretend not to see it. The game was ruin after that in a wonderful atmosphere, it was a pity to see a match between first and third ruined over that. It penalised everyone, both teams and all fans of football.”

Atalanta’s 0-2 loss leaves them 6 points behind Inter, making it difficult for them to compete for the Scudetto this season.
