Scotland assistant coach John Carver believes Ipswich Town’s George Hirst will give the Scots a “new dimension” in attack.

Hirst has been called up for the Nations League play-off against Greece after being given permission to play against his grandfather’s homeland.
The 26-year-old joins Che Adams, Tommy Conway, Kevin Nisbet and James Wilson as a forward in Steve Clarke’s side. Hirst has scored เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย four goals for Ipswich Town this season, including the second in Saturday’s 4-2 home defeat by Nottingham Forest.
“We’ve been tracking him for a few months. We lost Lyndon Dykes to injury and he looked a little bit like Lyndon,” Carver said.
“He scored really well at the weekend and it’s a great way to leave the club and get into international football. “He’s a bright, intelligent lad, loves his football and will fit straight into the team. He brings a new dimension to us. I had a good chat with him on Sunday night and we spoke about a lot of things. But the most important thing is he’s a good player and he’ll definitely bring something to the team.”
Hirst, who played for England at youth level, had no hesitation in pledging his international future to Scotland.
